Cold--Hot--Cold *sigh*

Today it's not hot anymore. It's cold, cold, cold again and now the windows are shut to keep us warm. The blinds and curtains are raised to trap the heat. Egads! What's girl-kitty to do? I don't know whether to shed or grow more fur.

At least my goodie locker is full of Temptations and the kitchen cupboard has plenty of Fancy Feast.

Ah, Stinky-goodness Again

Someone has to have a talk with my mom bean. Something's wrong in her brain somewhere. She let me run out of stinky-goodness (well not exactly--the last two cans were something I didn't like so much so I'd just take one bite and leave). Anyway, I had to bited her ankles to remind her to go to the store and get me my favorite Fancy Feast 'Yamon.

I think she finally got the hint and when she and Pa bean went to the doctor and then to the store I finally got what I like. First I tried to bury it. Why? Because there are predators out there. One never knows when ones favorite flavor may attract the wrong crowd.

She did make it up to me and brought home a neat feather wand. I loves it. Mom bean didn't take any pictures of me loving it, but I've already taken out a feather. So I'm happy again.

Oh, yeah, sorry for not being able to post for eleven days---Mom! Yeah, it's all her fault. She's got a buzz going on with her novel and isn't paying any attention to me. But that's alright, I'll get even one of these days.

I'm So Cold--Brrrrr

It's a cold day here. Mom bean had to shut all the windows it was so cold. Rainy sometimes, too.

I've taken up residence under my Pa bean's blankets. He has a heater. Not giving up my spot, neither.

I Wuv U MB

I keep trying to get my mom beans' attention. It's dull as dust around here lately. Mom Bean spends all her time on her novels. I take over the rug when she does dishes and annoy her until I get food or a tummy rub. You know? being a writer's cat isn't all it's cracked up to be. I have to bitted her ankles occasionally to wake her up.

We had a giant metal monster hanging outside next to the fence for three days. It was a huge murky yellow thing with a long neck and sharp jaws. Its roar was deafening. I quit coming into the front rooms until that monster went away. I even quit eating for a bit. My wet stuff. I ate my crunchies late at night when the monster was asleep. It's gone now. I'm eating my stinky goodness again. Mom Bean didn't like it either. We both feel better now that it's gone.

It's My Gottcha Day!

Five years stretchin' out
Tummy tickles, tummy rolls
This carpet is old.

Catchin' Some Rays

Mom bean shut out the afternoon sun. What's a poor cat to do?

Enter space private
Warm fur to capacity
Discovered by Mom

I miss visiting with my cat-friends and furry cousins. Mom bean is just too busy and doesn't give in to my demands. But I've learned a new human word. Honest! I can say Trout! From time to time my Mom bean tries to get me to eat new flavors of stinky-goodness . I gotta say, The Aristocats Trout beats Fancy Feast Yamon. Who knew? And the Ocean Whitefish and Tuna ain't bad, either. Hey! I guess that makes me Fancy Aristocat! Ha, ha. Better than the title of Spoiled Butt that mom bean calls me.

Oh, what a surprise! We had a real live thunderbumper storm (s) roll across us this afternoon. It wasn't even dinnertime and things got black as night. Hee, hee, I guess you say . . . It Was A Dark and Stormy Afternoon. Yeah, I know, kind of lame. Anway, I took refuge in the bedroom closet. We don't get storms like that where we live. Well, I guess we do, but very rarely. Mom bean says that's because we live in a pocket between some small mountains and we're also a Marine climate. Whatever that means. Anyway, it lasted for a few hours and the wind rattled the window glass and tried to tear up the trees. At least mom bean is happy. She didn't have to go outside and water things with the hose. I don't think she likes to do that this year.

I'm going to try now, while I have the computer in between my paws, to go and visit a few of you. (((((((((furry hugs to everyone))))))))))))

Caught in the Act!

Did I tell you about the new toilet in the house? Well, if I didn't, I'll tell you only one thing. The thing is higher, and has what my mom bean tries to explain to me as a low flush. In other words the water is way down in the bottom and I can't drink out of it anymore.

I've be relegated to drinking water from my bowl. I guess I've been reduced to being normal. But mom caught me today, dipping my paw in the water and licking the water off of it like I used to do with the old toilet that had lots of water in it. FYI--I do drink like a normal cat...now that I have to.

There's a black kitty in much distress out on the lawn. He's been pacing and crying all day.

See the back catloaf in the distance? He's been crying at that window for hours and hours.

I tried to call him over to my window but he won't leave that spot. It's really stressing mom and pa bean out. Pa bean talked to a neighbor that lives at that end and they're working on finding out where he belongs. I hope he will be all right through the night...or his owner takes him back inside.

Love is Snoozing on the Feet!

Mao, my fluffy-cous-brother's mom bean wrote a novel and it came in the mail today. My mom bean is reading it again. She read it before it was in a book. She's so happy it's in a book now.
She said it's a wonderful love story...hmmmm....that reminds me....whisker kisses, my prince!

I just love my mom bean. The best place to snooze when she's writing is inbetween her feet at the foot of her big chair. Ah, happiness. It just doesn't get any better than this.

Backyard Full of Birds!

Sitting here, enjoying the sounds of spring. Sniffing the breeze...you know, just hanging out. Loving life.

All of a sudden there's a tremendous noise outside on the grass.
Ah-Ha! That noise means a backyard full of...wait for it....BIRDS!

I stealthily moved closer to the scene. Whoa...to many birds...the noise was Deafening! Now there's too many Birds...Too much noise! Really! All I wanted to do was just to snooze next to the open window.

I can't take anymore....Shut Up!

I Have A Hostage

Mom bean has neglected me long enough. I'm sitting here on her legs, pinning her down so she can't move until I get to blog and visit my friends.

Despite mom bean being busy, first with her novel and then with her flowers, and lots of shopping this week, it has been really nice around here. Three days now with afternoon sunshine and the windows wide open. Heavenly.

I threw up a hair ball the size of a squirrel last night. Yes, mom bean is combing me, but sometimes these things happen. I had just wasted a good dinner of my canned Fancy Feast. I had to wait until morning before mom bean would allow me to eat any more. I hate hair balls. But I'm sure glad to get rid of this one. Whew!

Oh, and I got a red dot light for my birthday. Except pa bean won't let me play with it. He likes to play with. I just chase the red dot around the floor. He thinks that's funny. Ha, I do it because the red dot annoys me and I want to destroy it.

Time for my afternoon nap in my pillow cave. Have a fun week!

May 1st! Oh, Hey, It's My Birthday, Too! I'm 5

Boy, there for a while I thought my mom bean had forgotten my Birthday. I was deep in a sad birthday blues slumber when Mike came and woke me up singing "Happy Birthday to Gretchen." That was so nice. Somtimes Mike does some real nice things for me, I guess he's okay to have around. And for a fluffhead he has a deep, melodious voice.

Mom bean gave me extra hugs and flashed the silver box a lot, and told me that I turned 5 today. You know how old that is in real cat years? 36...oh, that's depressing. But it turned out to be a good day. Got extra treats, hugs and kisses from Poppa bean, mom bean and Mike. That's my forever family and I love 'em. To pieces...

Oh, yeah and the windows are open, but it's cloudy and going to rain and turn cold again all next week. That's what the mom bean told me that the weatherperson said. Yuck!
